Well the siege system is quite a better thing as it prevents Palli-bashing for a bit... but it still doesnt change the fact that there are no defense mechanics other then the shield and maybe running out of the walls destroying the siege weapons before tehy are ready....
And that would mean that the attacker is not there to keep them safe or that your fighting force is bigger/stronger anyway.
But other then that well you have no real defence just the timer to get raided got a bit bigger.

So my suggestion on that would be Archer tower.

Wooden and Stone

What they do:
You can get on top of them and shoot arrows over the walls.
(finaly archery has a bit more use)
the distance you would be able to shoot would varie on the type of tower you built.
like is it a Wooden one or a stone one.

To prevent the abuse of it they should only be able to be built inside PClaim or VClaim.
(otherwise attackers just spam them outside to pepper the defenders with arrows)

This way defender have a real means on defending and archery would probably have a bit more use then it has by now.

yes whould be awsome, instead of corner post chould pick a guard tower, mabye shoot arrows over walls (suggested before by someone else) but if over wall misses often and lowwer damage, mabye throw boulders off tower at enemys (if close to wall)
