support combat abillities??

like a battle cry reducing openings on all ur party members or increase their attack weight or idk

scaling with charysma or will or psyche

and sharing a different cooldown than the combat moves

and not op

maybe somehow like hearth magic but instead of using exp they wud use like idk VALOR which u earn for doing valorous things hehe

Only if there's a personal support move called "Rout" where you gain a %speed=(x-1)*.10, so if you're getting ganked by 10 people you can run 90% faster. flashbacks lol

But yeah there should be more team combat support in the forms of maneuvers, rather than surround the opponent with 8 people and a construction sign.

Anything to add to combat other than attacks and restorations would make things more interesting. When I read abilities like Steal Thunder it sounds interesting but I have no idea how to make good use of it.

I've been discussing this same thing, right now the Haven combat system is directed towards a 1v1 situation and it's pretty fun for that... But once you scale up, the actual underlying meta is the same old garbage it's always been and the reason I dislike PvP in Haven. Rather than being a group fight it's just a collection of individuals fighting another collection of individuals. All combat boils down to is your DPS vs my DPS... Some combat moves are interesting and obviously an attempt has been made to consider various situations, but right now as an example running with and using punch them both will never happen, for one it ties up one of your precious 10 slots but additionally, if you're fighting 2 people dealing 10% opening to them both while they both deal 10% to you isn't a technique which will win you many fights.
Targeted opening reduction would be a decent first step to adding a little coordinated teamwork to the game and improving the underlying group combat, most PvP games I enjoy include some sort of targeted healing along with buff/debuffs which allows a group to use superior teamwork to outskill another group, haven simply has HIT THE GUYS HITTING MY BUDDY.

Tbh make moves that do things other than increase/decrease openings. Some ideas:

"Throw sand": switches your opponent's opening types to their opposite color.

"Preparation": your next attack does damage as if your opponent had x opening, long cooldown

"Stern Order": Maneuver, increases party members' ua, mc, and agi by 10*(sqrt(cha/10))

"Concealed Cut": Attack that'll deal damage with a delay (like 5 seconds after using) based on the openings the enemy has when the delay expires.

Also rework parry, also remove artful coins mechanic.

Would be cool if it was limited to the king like it used to be with lawspeaker and chieftain. Or a battle standard carrier support move would be fun, like morale boosting stance.

I agree that the combat system could use more multiplayer angles.
