Log stockpiles ?

Is there any futur patch that will make it possible to stockpile the logs ?
Like a building 3x3, stocking 50 to 100 logs ?
Many villages are overcrowded by logs from the time they are farming trees.

If you hold control as you place them you can stack them pretty close, but being able to actually make a stockpile would be nice.

If I were to guess why they haven't done it, probably because it would be an absolute pain to take logs out of the stockpile and try and find the right now, but you have that issue with stockpiles in general to some degree.

Would be nice, but they are not items, but rather objects, and do not follow the standard stockpile model.

Object buildable cheaply (some blocks) that works similar to a cart/boat (just not moveable)?
