What would change if Death was removed?

Now this idea, topic, thought is sure to get me hated and killed for even bringing it up, but lets go for it anyways!

What would happen if Death was removed? What would happen if all players no longer suffered a stat and LP penalty for dying? What would happen if you could still be knocked out, stripped naked of all your possessions, sieged, have your HF be destroyed and so forth, but dying would no longer impact your character progression?

(The purpose of this thread isn't to actually suggest removing death, but to more so to spark discussion. Death is clearly not perfect in H&H, and by bringing up the idea of the opposite end of the spectrum, hopefully some ideas on the subject can be made).

The game would be boring, most of the players from russia/poland that are hardcore players would quit, there would be even more titan characters, the gap between noobs and pros would be even bigger.. yeah

Have you ever been afraid when you see other hearthlings? and then maybe even been positively surprised when they said hi instead of attacking you?

Have you ever been attacked, and felt the rush of nearly losing your character?

Have you ever thought twice about attacking an animal, about swimming over a river?

There are so many games where you can try out everything, and lose nothing. With the death system, you have to think before you do something. All your actions are a lot more meaningful when they have bigger consequences.

Yeah there's literally no point to it anymore if death wasn't a factor.

The game would be temporarily filled with the kind of noobs you see complain about permadeath on forums, and then after they've spent their casual-playtime and get bored the game has no more players/income.

Basically no death ingame = death for entire game I think.

I doubt a lot

There is already titan characters and the gap between noobs who start playing and the pros that have been playing since years is getting bigger and bigger

Soon there will be no place for any new player and there will be only fight between veterans killing any new that arrives

I think its pretty hard to say what would happen. Abusing of alts for blockading others might get more common. Except if some alternative methods of preventing this are added. Such as ability to push other players with lower str than you and ability to banish them with timer even without visitor debuff. (If they are in your claim)

We would probably see a chaos on forums of the people above complaining about it. But eventually things would settle.

I remember playing a very old Prince of Persia game, before Sands of Time, in which the final level you had to fight an immortal dude and the way to win was to activate one of the traps in the room and get him forever stuck between two very heavy slabs of stone, entombing him alive with no chance of escaping. I imagine something like that would happen in this scenario. You strip a guy, destroy his HF, build a brickwall or palisade around him and keep a marksman bot there to make sure he doesn't get up in the next 24 hours.

I'd just make a new character
