Holy crap YES.

And obviously zooming, plus adding little notes that say stuff when rclicked could be cool. (Requires parchment?)
Grids, and also rclicking one grid, then another and show distance from them in tiles, minimaps, whatever.
Also, allow us to copy one supergrid at a time onto parchments and allow others to read the parchment and unlock that supergrid on their map.
Possibly show village idols, personal claim poles, coronations stones and border cairns.
Total misplay.

I've got two HW Trees within like 50-100 tiles of my village. They're less localized resources and more...resources.

My point was more like once you have traveled a lot it takes a shit ton of scrolling to get to anything (and I have only like 1/4 of the world mapped, but I imagine what it is with 1/2 or 2/3 of the world)

I agree, but the sky is the limit here. Arguably you want the whole photoshop suite in your map.
