I think that this game being ported to Steam may cause some Pros and Cons as in Spamming in the Chat, extremely annoying people and many other things.
But will this game be Ported to Steam or something similar to it ?

why would it
J&L have their own distribution method already set up. Going to steam does not offer anything but valve taking slice of their profits.

Mmm... no. If J&L get into a steam promotion deal, I can guarentee you most of those players seeing the popup have never heard of it. Majority of people I talk to who play games of this genre (sandbox builder) have never heard of HnH. I've introduced about 10-15 people to the game over the years, and a bunch more got scared off when I mention permadeath.
Takeaway here is that A) Many people who play this genre of game have no idea that Haven exists, and B) Steam as a result has a potentially large well of customers to tap into.
However, I'm not privy to what's entailed to get a game promoted via steam. I do know they typically take cuts of 30% or so from things bought within steam. Not sure what that looks like for MMOs that have stores setup outside of steam. EVE is a good example I'm aware of (subs can be purchased via steam, but you can also go around steam to their normal store). Baseline promotion is pretty small and might account for a trickle of players.
I don't think haven should launch to steam so long as J&L aren't starving until the vanilla client is deemed "acceptable" to start on. There's a bare minimum set of features custom clients have that the vanilla needs before it makes sense to launch in my opinion anyway. I know they've been adding functionality to it so that's a good start.
