Let us chop the tripping roots to use them as traps

Right click > slice on a tripping root

After a decently long timer (like tree cutting) you could come away with a strong root which could then be placed elsewhere (requiring another long timer).
This could be used for slowing animals and kiting them through a network of traps which would slowly deal damage as you go along

I want to put a boar through a gauntlet, basically

Harvesting of the new environmental boost for usage could be interesting, but I feel like it would defeat the point of having them there to mix things up. A way to slow animals legitimately would be welcome however, so i'm not against the idea of traps/snares.
What would be neat to see is natural resources place a permanent buff on an area around themselves. Clay pit could reduce speed in a small area around it for example. Salt basins can drain stamina.

Have since been removed from the game.
