Refining Clay Q

I will say this in advance there may be quite a few reasons why this idea can be contested but it seems like an idea that if not used as i propose could still in some fashion become implemented. now to get to the point which is that finding Quality nodes for ball clay above 50 or 60 seems to be next to impossible. because of this i have seen it proposed that if you want higher Quality clay you should make bone clay that in itself has limitations. my idea to fix these issues is to add a method of refining Ball clay. my thoughts say a tub you could put a stockpile of clay into and a barrel of water with a hemp screen for sifting out impurities. in order for this to not completely mess over the mechanics of the game there should be rules for how it works . 1 the Quality of the tub/ screen should be a hard cap for the Quality of clay produced. 2 you should only get back 1/4 of the clay you put in. 3 the Quality should only go up by 1/4 of the value of what was put in. 4 it should take at least 5 hours real time to refine a batch. now i am not saying that you should have to babysit the game for 5 hours just that the clay should have to sit in the tub with water for at least that long if not longer. i am sure that there are other restrictions that can be imposed as well. just to say the idea is not to severely alter things it is just to make things a bit more reasonable.. i would also suggest other things like a distillery ( with similar restrictions ) for improving water Quality or making spirits.

I like the cave clay mechanic, so I wouldn't mind more mechanics like it, but not if it devalues the cave clay too much.
