Infected sore's

From my point of view healing them is quite annoying at the moment look for the new herb which is annoying as hell to find or just use a ancient root , but can't we just maybe , maybe do it the old fashion way? cut the wound open , put leeches to suck out the pus and infected blood , burn the wound with a fire brand or torch and then done , poof you're healed , you just treated a classic medieval infection also burning the wound should leave a diffrent wound which would count as treated something like "Scarificated" which just heals on it's own after a short while just like "bound in waybroad" :D

Too complicated; it's easier to amputate the infected part of the body %)

War. Hospital. The doctor with the assistant do a bypass of patients. Both tired, the assistant has a bloody ax in his hands.
- This soldier started gangrene. Assistant, amputate his left arm.
Assistant with an ax chops down:
Crac!
- I said "left"!
Crac!
- I said "arm"!
Crac!
Excuse me, I don't speak English.

More treatment options ar always nice, but I don't see these as a big deal.
