Greater View Distance

Although the the perception*exploration is already quite powerful in the sense of how much it effects the game. I was thinking that a view distance multiplier of say perception*exploration divided by 10 lets say as an example, would be the amount of square meters you would gain to your view box. Nothing substantial but something that in the long run and end game would be drastically different that fresh spawn. This would give a slight advantage when not only foraging but hunting easier as well as pvp combat and being able to see your enemy before they see you. Just an idea, would love to see what people think.

Things already get hard to see at the zoom most players play at. To the point that it's kinda obvious the client is optimized for closer in gameplay, you start getting graphical bugs on things like runestones otherwise.

But beyond all that, I don't think people should be forced to narrower perspective by mechanics.

Increasing the view distance is a *big* deal, but something which is on our very long term list of dream projects. Ideally you should be able to look up at the stars, the horizon, and mountains in the distance.

Dreaming about it.
