Stockpiles that can be carried n stored in a cupboard

I thinking for smaller items like berries, eggs, peas etc. You could implement whicker baskets that could be carried by hand similar to the bucket. It could also be stored, like a bucket when full/empty in cupboards or other containers.

Seems kinda silly to be that 4 blueberries is the same size as a plank of wood, or a scythe when stored :P

You can transport a stockpile with a wheelbarrow.

As a rule of thumb, if I have my palisade up, I usually just leave stockpiles outside and put non-stockpilable things in the cupboards.

If we keep making storage more compact, cupboards won't really need to exist at all.

I kinda agree with jorb on this one (well what I've seen him say in the past), there has to be some point where we accept that some things require cupboards to store.

Wheelbarrows for large ass heavy duty stockpiles yes but I'm talking about (realistically) smaller items eggs, berries, maggots. Seems great to me to go picking mushrooms and berries with a basket

Taking 2-4 slots when put into an inventory, or having room of 2-4 slots for foreaged stuff?
(the latter would be pointless, compared to a tsack)

ive mentioned this about a halfdozen times, but containers that function identically to the quiver would be fun and larpy and very convenient

egg basket: 2x3 inv space, holds 24 eggs

herb sack: 2x2 inventory space, holds 5x4 herbs

tackle box: 1x inv space, holds 3x3 fishing tackle

would effectively give "stockpiles" to items, but non placeable

the only possible problem would be weird emta cupboards with rows of egg baskets for ultra compact space, but i dont really see that as an issue, just kind of cheesy

Basically want to agree with this but I think that all that needs doing is allowing more items to be placed in buckets, not just for storage and easy crafting but also for trading. Mostly would like to see all tree and bush seeds and fruit have this option, perhaps 100 to a bucket, which I can't see any negative affect to at all and is realistic.

Also believe that more simplification of storage will help remove some of the repetitiveness from the game and hence the inducement to bot.
