So my neighbour Polly (no clue on forum name) had this idea ages ago and promised to post it. Never happened, but it's an amusing idea so here goes.
Rabbit Q raises too slowly. They're slower than chickens (at least they feel like they are), and feel barely faster than livestock. Rabbits are as a result not terribly useful. The biggest potential use they have is high Q hide, if they grew up notably faster than livestock that is. Hide % quality makes that unlikely in the current system.
So the idea is that rarely, a bunny rabbit will be born with a little crown on its head. Instead of being called a bunny rabbit, it would be called "The Hare Apparent". When it matures, it will turn into a "King Buckington" with crown and perhaps a royal purple mantle over its shoulders. Bonus points if it remembers how many hare apparents have been in the chain before it and it can become something like "King Buckington the Third". The important note is that any bunny rabbits born to said royal parent would get a bigger potential quality bonus. Enough so that it should be the highest quality animal (rabbits could be raised for bone/hide, while chickens will forever be important due to the importance of eggs) a village can produce given everything starting at Q10 at the same time.
Also, for shiggles, if a hare apparent or king is lower Q or deemed unwanted, it could have a right click option called "assasinate". This would give the appropriate corpse and a curio "Bloodied regalia".
