Let us greet quest givers from a distance

So I just had a shitty experience today concerning quests. I've been looking for the quest giver in particular for two days, and I finally found it today after traveling on boat for 1-2 hours, only to find it behind a village's fucking palisade. There needs to be measures to prevent quest givers from being griefed like this. One thing I've noticed is that you can do tasks like laughing or waving at a quest giver in order to complete a quest. It boggles my mind that I can do this from a distance, but I need to walk up to them to greet them?

You probably made a char, moved areas and still have old quest.

You should abandon and wait for a new one if you want to quest, otherwise you'll end up like this :D

This was a new quest that I just got the other day from a quest giver that I was already previously doing quests for. I already have a bunch of other quests to keep me occupied, but I'm just salty about the outcome of traveling for an hour only to find the quest giver standing behind some village's palisade walls. I've already been doing quests unhindered for a month, and theoretically I'm at the point where I could just build a ram and tear the fucking walls down if I really wanted to complete the quest.

I'm just bringing up the fact that quest givers being griefed, either intentionally or unintentionally, should be addressed at some point in time. Probably when the devs have gotten other, more important work out of the way.

Not entirely sure how to feel about that, but will consider.
