Cupboards outside

Postby brogamernz » Tue May 23, 2017 7:43 pm

Being able to craft a cupboard outside rather than have to go into a house craft lift them out and put them down outside.. its a complete waste of time. would rather be able to craft them anywhere aslong as its on paved ground. still allow them to decay outside but allow them to be built anywhere

I would love to see some tougher cupboard that is made for outside storage as its mainly meant for inside atm. I am fine with it as it is... but if they made a 7x7 (vs the inside 8x8) out side storage unit... I build it a effing lot lol

Defeats the purpose of chests. If you want bulk outside storage for cheap, use Stone Caskets. 20 Stone and two Iron Nuggets for 32 slots of storage is great if I say so myself.

Wood chests are superior IMO:

4 planks and 4 nuggets of any metal (I use all this shit-Q tin I have) for 36 storage.

OP is just referring to the fact that cupboards can only be built inside of a house, not that they shouldn't decay outside. I mentioned that before though.

Yeah I don't care about the decay that's why we have chests lol. I just want to create them without having to build them inside a house and carry them out. It takes ages just to make 50 and move them outside or around like a mine...

The cupboards is designed for indoor use, so it can only be built indoors. In my opinion, this is logical.

It's not logical because you can build anything outside of the house and bring it in.. like anything you should be able to build movable objects anywhere.. like omg I don't know how to build a cupboard. Walks inside. Oh that's house....

This is logical, because cupboards should be located only inside the premises. The creation of cupboards outside the premises provokes leaving them outdoors. Cupboards are very easy to create and they are roomy. That is, traveling and typing a full inventory of things, it's too easy to make a cupboard, fill it and go home.
Ok, cupboards can be created outdoors, but to create a cupboard you will need ropes and glue. This option will suit you?
Disintegration and the inability to create outside the home is a payoff for the ease of creation and storage capacity.
For the same reason, the opportunity to place a filled cupboard in a boat is removed.
In my opinion, I'm right %)

The limitation on cupboards make sense as it would be to cheap when you could build one on demand everywhere to port another 64 slots of stuff home.
