Parasites

Postby The_Lich_King » Fri Jun 09, 2017 3:45 am

so how i would like parasites to work is if you get an infection for as long as you have the infection you can get a parasite which has to be cured with some kind of antibiotic. There would be different parasites that would have different effects. What i was thinking of is something like this.

Parasite 1: removes agi and str and const

Parasite 2: causes infection to last longer

Parasite 3: makes it so that energy can't go above 5000%.

Parasite 4: causes you to be impregenated with a parasitic life form that will live off of your body causing your energy to constantly drain forcing you to keep eating all the time in order to not die, then after a week you give birth to a parasitic life form that will instantly try to kill you the moment it is birthed.

I second the motion

it would give like 150 chest burst injury, any lesser hearthling would die from it.

What need is there of tiny parasites when you can have Nao in your village instead.

a man need only strike another to make him evil."

Nao is the greatest parasite, he is the god that all parasites aspire to be. He doesn't just live off of the bodies of other creatures, he lives off the bodies of ALL other creatures. Every single hearthling and animal is losing energy every day in order to power the parasite God Nao and it is to honor him that we must add his lessers in order to further inconvenience the hearthlands.

You should randomly get ticks when walking on forest terrain. Removing them safely would take some hard to get stuff, or you could just yank it off and have a high chance of getting an infected sore. Or you could just let it detach on it's own, which takes a while and leaves like a 15HHP wound that heals slowly and has a low to moderate chance of infection.

My father has a friend who has this actually ; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lyme_disease

Leg got amputated from the knee last year, this can fuck people who were normally quite fit up just over time.

So let's go with what Potjeh said and add 0.0001% chance of Lyme disease where you see your character losing limbs over time :D ?

We should add amputations as a method fo healing, but it reduces agi like 100 and str 100.

Yeah and if it happens to be ur arm then all crafting quality divided by two because of precision lost as well as wearing one tool, if it's your leg then movement speed /2 and stamina drain increased for higher speeds.

Yay for ticks
