[stream] Haven & Hearth FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Postby tangar-info » Tue Jun 20, 2017 9:57 pm

Hi ho!

2 years ago I've tried to play H&H and made video "Haven and Hearth IMPOSSIBLE TO PLAY" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVbY2pyeq84

Now I've decided to give it a try another time. I've increased size of text font by reducing desktop resolution to 800x600 and made stream - "Haven & Hearth FIRST IMPRESSIONS":

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6q9DpPNS6I0

It's became much better, but still lore and skill descriptions are not really readable. Also tutorial put me in a rough situation, so maybe it wouble be fun to make it more logic (tutorial has to be simple :P )

I hope with this video it would become more understandable how new player 'feel' the game in 1st time.

Kind regards,
Nikolay :D

Seem to complain a lot about font tbh, I've never even heard of any person that goes around games reading EVERY bit of test..... like, seems like such a waste of time. Also the lift function is for liftable objects, such as if you built a Wicker Basket out of sticks. (Also you need Lumberjacking skill to chop trees).

I play on 1920*1080 ... 800*600 is like the resolution from 15-20 years ago...

I am not really sure what this has to do with new player help and questions compared to just being a critique. Off it goes to its proper place.

If a person has a small screen, I can see that playing even at 720 HD resolution would be difficult to read text.

Still, if this is your only complaint so far, I'd like to remind you that this is considered an alpha grade piece of software. Not everything is going to be addressed quickly, and there are going to be a wide variety of performance issues, including display size problems.

Well that the ui needs some scalable options is true ... once you know the game it's not a big deal, but if you are a new player and you need to read stuff for skills, foods, etc... it's a pain at 1080p on a common 23" monitor.
I think it's one of the first thing where the client needs to improve ... most of all cause 2k and 4K monitors are always more popular and I bet it's unplayable there, and not playing at native resolution most of the time sucks.

Only watched your first video, all i could stomach.

Buy glasses, try playing in full screen, learn how to right click, complain less. Thank.
