More uses for metal and also makes sense.

+1 to this.

Wooden round shield only made sense when the whole game was a bit vikingy, but updates like hussar's wings have already changed that. A kiteshield and maybe also a renntartsche would make sense - would also like to see barding for horses that can perhaps be worn instead of the saddlebags.

Only other shield that I think should be added is a heater.

Metal shield would be reasonable.

any hard metal + wood + hide straps + sketch - kite shield

steel preferably + sketch + wood - heater shield

we have needed more shield types since i started playing.
Newbie and noob do not mean the same thing.

Metal shields are heavy. Should be some great agility penalty from carrying it.

and a str requirment to negate the agi penalty. both can go up with quality.

Contrary to anyone's belief, armor rarely limits your movement due to it's weight but more due to it's shape.
