Hello everyone,

so late game is pretty bland right now, i have a suggestion to make it more interesting and create more late game motivation by getting the world to do something together in teamwork:

PvE Gateways: You can randomly find Gateways to a PvE World while mining or chopping trees (conditions dabatable). When one such Gateway is found, other Gateways to this World will appear randomly across the world. Also it starts a worldwide Event that draws players to the Gateways. This PvE World will exist for a few days. The content of these worlds can vary, it can be a filled with NPC enemies (if thats doable atm.) or it could contain an exceptional number of certain animals (Mammoth or even Trolls maybe). Inside the world you maybe get certain buffs or bonuses. When the PvE world ends certain reward items will be distributed among the participants.
More questions: Disable PvP while in world?, what rewards would you get? Is NPC AI something Loftar would bother with?

So i didnt think this all the way through obviously, but i thought the idea is interesting enaugh to discuss it here. I got this idea after i had a weird dream where i was in a world similar to h&h and i found such a gateway in an ice place. However, i hope i can inspire someone with this.

Please tell me what you think, what should be changed in order to make this work?, ideas for other, more viable, events?

PvE is kinda boring (see: trolls). I'd rather there be events that encourage PvP than magical PvE realms for end-game. Stuff like air-drops in rust and resources in PUBG bring incentive for combat, so they aren't just hide in your hole and wait. Salt and those other resources were a step in the right direction, but just devolved into alt wars rather than actual fights.

There's no reason to fight except trying to get kills, so risking dying is counter-productive. This means combat just becomes chase if you have the bigger gank-squad, run into your walls if you don't. If there was some objective to protect, people would actually be willing to fight. Maybe factions would split their massive gank-squads to get more resources, and smaller groups could muster a fight that isn't trying to gank someone before the rest of their squad shows up.

Could have some event every two weeks, like a blood-moon, where some cool end-game resources are scattered around the world. They only appear in a few spots, and a group would have to defend them for 20 minutes or so to get them, ala king of the hill.

what if we had something akin to battlegrounds in wow and similar in other games

have it be 'the calling' and you can queue to join from something like the ancestral shrine. then have it be a mosh pit or simple 1v1, maybe have it so you can enter as a party and have groups with flags on your back to distinguish you from the opposing team if not the circles in party. the area can be valhalla, then make it so people in valhalla can watch

i fear botting so maybe have a switch in valhalla that disproves the arena combatants or have a cooldown for joining. the winner could get some prize such as food, whismical item, or maybe gold/silver pebbles/nuggets. and add joining a battle be a quest too

A while back there was a discussion about having a meteorite impact event, roughly once a week or so. I still think that it would make a very interesting event at least.

Some sort of meteorite thing could be fun.
