Underground Wells

Since we have weird shit where it shouldn't be (mineholes in cellars), let's put weird shit where it can be.

We build 4 story stone towers underground in tight cave entrances, so we should be able to cut out the middle man in the "dig deeper" magic and just dig deeper literally.

Even if it came at no quality boost besides random nodes, it'd be a great addition for all the dwarf people. Could even produce curiousities.

Has been suggested before. I'm not entirely opposed, but Loftar didn't like this. Some sort of cost in terms of hassle should be applied to underground life.

You mean like not being able to farm underground? Or the danger of invasion from above (ok, that one is easy to overcome)? Or having to dig paths to anywhere you want to go? Just to name a few?
jorb: I don't want *your* money. You are rude and boring. Go away.
Sevenless: We already know real life has some pretty shitty game mechanics, it's why we're here instead.
Avu: The end is near it has finally come to pass: I agree with Lunarius...
Shubla: There are also other reasons to play this game than to maximize your stat gain.

what if there was LITERALLY water down below? like, dig down a level and you run into water? put a well on the level above the water and you get water from that source?
Newbie and noob do not mean the same thing.

Neither do figuratively and literally.

We got wellsprings, which is a good addition, but I'll never be able to play my cavelocked underground only ironman until we get strings and wells.
