Container For Stockpiles

Postby L4Lovely » Sun Jul 23, 2017 11:31 am

Hey everyone!

Wouldn't it be a nice idea to store and transport stockpiled items like carrots, rocks, ores etc. in containers like a giant cloth bag or something of the sort?
It seems rather stupid and overly costly to transport stockpiles like in: wheelbarrows -> carts.

To not make wheelbarrows obsolete in these terms, maybe you could only move those bags with wheelbarrows or just really slowly by hand.

If this has been already suggested or sounds stupid to you, just bash me around.

Much love, L4Lovely~

it's been suggested before, even to use the cart for stockpile moving like beets/carrots

i agree it's needed for qol, feels dumb to use wheelbarrows to move the stuff in. 6wheelbarrows with 360beets in a cart...

Unnecessary IMO, if you want to move loads of something, use chests. Large chest usually hold more than most "natural" stockpiles.

Are we playing the same game?

Large chests suck for moving things man, only for small quantity it's not that bad I suppose.

Perhaps a wearable (in the backpack slot) straw basket for some stockpiles (vegetables etc, but not boards).

My only concern about stockpiles is when you want to move then from outside to insede a building. It's a pain in the ass to put only one chest / cb / wheelbarrow each time :(.

Its a pain in the ass to lift the wheel barrel, walk through the door, and place the wheel barrel? Perhaps a game where it take time to build up a character is not for you?

Also are you guys moving stock piles so often that the ability to move 6 at once ( or fucking 20 with a wagon) is too slow?

Its just a convenience matter and it also would make more sense, wouldnt it?
You carry stockpileable items NOT in wheelbarrows but in other types of containers.
It's just a logical / convenience thing. I dont understand why you get so upset about it, please be constructive, pinkie.

My character is very well built up so far, but why cant I address such a thing?
