Get rid of Water/ add resting. stamina

Postby maze » Tue Jul 25, 2017 4:25 am

Water for stamina has been for along time. annoying.
Walking to get water while doing farm work, an annoying task.
cutting trees. DRINK MOTHERFKER DRINK!!! (use alts..)
Combat with water. dumb.
anything with water. Other then to drink and live. why?

Resting should be a thing like hungry.

Standing still will regen energy 5% per sec. (up to 100%)
Sitting in a chair will regen 15% per second (up to 150%).
Sleeping will regen 500% in 30min. (up to 1500%).

Modifiers would be thirst & hunger.
Drinking should be change to lasting 30mins (to still have it around...idk)

when entering combat you'll get a debuff "getting weary" this will set you back to 100% (to avoid exploiting).
WARNING! MY ENGISH SUCKS.

Would need to be balanced properly.

Otherwise I think it would piss off new players if drinking to restore was removed. Though I do like the idea of just "waiting" to restore in-addition to drinking. Tea would be nice if it restored more than water even at lower Q.

Actually is not a bad idea .... but thirst should be like starvation ... if you are parched you lose health :D
Also yeah, something like energy + water will refill your stamina, but give us the ability to drink from rivers and lakes ... i guess new players will appreciate that.
Of course stamina regen should be a lot faster than now, and maybe also some more status such as if overstuffed stamina regen will be slower ... and also if parched and starving ... to have the max stamina regen you need to be in the middle with food and full water.

Also not agree about full stamina during pvp, cause it could be a strategic key if well done.
example: you cannot travel the entire world and pvp with someone immediately cause your stamina will be bad and the opponent can outrun you easy, so you have to camp, rest, eat and drink then attack ....this could be very fun, giving a small bonus to residential people, like should be.

Runescape had a thing where you could "sit" in front of musicians to restore your running energy.
It'd be nice if playing music could help add a minor boost to energy consumption, or maybe something to do with happiness (listen to music, + to happiness = slightly less energy consumption OR slightly faster energy restoration?)

I like the idea of adding the need for rest, but it needs to be very well balanced.

lol why music should regen your stamina faster? :D Maybe your psyche, or will .... dependant on the type of music.

I'd rather see something like some fruits, like cocumber or melon giving you both energy and water and a short boost to stamina ... and so on with others types of foods and drinks ... adding both to water and energy.

Sugar mechanic perhaps? I really would like different drinks having effects on stamina and energy, even if temporary buffs. Tea, Milk, Wine and Beer, and perhaps juices and ice-related drinks.

I can't really decipher what the op is trying to say, but all I get is hot steamy garbage. Having to wait just to play the game is not fun, and a terrible suggestion.

Also, this shit would likely be busted in combat if the idea is just to prevent stamina gain while aggro'd. Part of the group aggros, other group uses whatever stamina gaining methods there are to circle around and fuck the person getting chased.

Sitting in a chair increases stamina regeneration, and tea does something with stamina, don't remember what or if it was changed.
