Revoke/take ownership of study desks

Shift + right click a study desk for the option to declaim it (assuming you own it)

If you do not own it, give a "revoke" or "take over" option which would begin a 3 day timer. If you are on a claim it could leave vandalism.
The studytable owner could stop your timer by putting something on the table

We need a better way of handling ownership of study tables

Sure, I guess.

But if it would take devs 5 min or more that could be spent on useful things then no thanks.

They're not too hard to build... for new players gathering the glue is the hard part. Parts of me think that this isn't so bad and people can build their own.

On the other hand, there's a ton of abandoned claims out there. No reason I shouldn't be able to claim a desk as my own.

(I won't even mention the ones that want to make matching furniture and would rather sell/give away an old desk rather than just let it rot.)
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Giving of old ones away is no issue as your current is released the moment you claim a new one (at least last time I checked).

Maybe make it so that if the desk remains empty for too long (like 10 RL days) it gets automatically released.

That would cover the likely scenarios where this is useful, like people leaving the game.
And wouldn't be damaging if they didn't, since they're clearly not being used.

This could make sense.

That was the basic idea I had in mind as well

If the shit hasn't been used forever I'd like to be able to recycle it. Atm abandoned ones are just taking up space and you either destroy them or set them aside.

It is also very annoying not being able to tell who owns what table

rather importantly for new players is that it is just not made as yet another obscure hotkey to remember. just make a small button in the corner of the interface "release ownership".
Also make a comperhensive list of all hotkeys, preferingly accesable in game. thx.

im sorry, but last time i check chickens spawn all over the place constantly in large groups. bone glue is never difficult to get. does quality even effect anything with the table? i made mine with q1 chicken bones that made like q4 glue. probably q10 for the boards and blocks.
