let us use chop with the pickaxe, give it base damage equal to a wrought sword but with a 25% cooldown penalty like the b12, so that it will still be strictly worse as a weapon, but still usable when the situation arises.

or they could just implement new attacks and flesh out the combat system a bit more, Would rather see more content.

Make pickaxe a goddamn weapon, add damage around 35 and armor pen 30
As well as smith hammer, scythe, sledgehammer and frying pan
Even a shovel can be a weapon, just give it a small damage like 10 and call it a day, still better than switching weapons or depend on UA.

All items should be heldable in hand and deal some damage.
Planks, wooden blocks, metal bars.
