this is NOT a world reset thread. The slightest mention of the idea and I'll have it hel'd
OP Update Dec.16

This thread is simply a place to put things you want to see changed before the new world begins. This does not include things you really want to see added to the game because it would be like so cool.

This isn't a grab bag thread so much as an exercise in finding what might break/ruin the next world before we get to the next world. Each idea here should have it's own thread, which I'll link in the OP if this thread gets enough traction

Things that merit being put in this thread:
  • Mechanics that will adversely affect early gameplay
    (Credo quest reset upon death, localized resources being impenetrable)
  • Things that can only be changed during a world reset
    (Terrain generation tweaks, Granger's naturally gallery apocalypse)
Things that don't merit being in this thread:
Basically everything else.

Swords being able to be gilded with gems and have the gem you do with it appear in the pommel, and have some kind of quest or milestone mandatory to unlock your gild slot on your sword.

roads are my personal want, a less insta travel and more manually travel type thing of some sort (but prob not greatly needed or anything just think it would be nice)

secrectly i hope there is hiding grass res node type things added (which i suspect)

like once you hit 1k mc :D

maybe have gem studs on knuckles too? for when you get 1k ua?

This dosn't need a world reset to get fixed, you're right about the aneurysm though.

What should be added is flow direction to rivers so boating downstream is faster (and stuff will drift downstream), for this the map generator needs to make sure that rivers don't flow uphill anymore.

The map format should be expanded to support tracking terrain tile useage, so terrain changing with use (like forming and maintaining dirt roads on heavily frequented paths, which revert to natual biome when it's no longer walked over constantly) becomes possible. A continuous decay system is most likely a prerequisite for this, speaking of which:

A Plea for Decay should be implemented to correctly clean up abandoned settlements, resupply trees and other stuff.
Decay should also be applied in caves, with a different list of endangered objects and possibly in reduced magnitude.

-Resources such as salt and ice being changed so they aren't alt-spammed to shit. I've posted a fair amount of stuff on this.
-Charcoal bug being fixed, along with metal spiralling being changed
-Siege system being reevaluated (and with it an actual reason to build a brick-wall)
-FEPs need to be redone pretty hard
-Remove trellises

Some other stuff I can't think of atm
