Uses for corpses + long world tomb raiding

Once a character dies, it's over for him. But it doesn't need to be over for the others. We could use dead bodies for village aesthetics and general larp, for example:

. incinerating it and collecting its ashes
. embalming and mummifying it
. impaling it and putting it on display
. placing the fresh corpse on a torture rack
. putting it on a boat and setting it on fire
. burning it on a pyre, very witch-like

I think this is a good way to either pay respect to friends or to humiliate your enemies. It also makes for nice screenshots and village props.

Besides that, complicated procedures like mummification could also have their own particularities, like allowing hq items and gems to be attached to the corpse for higher inheritance %, should people choose to bury it in a burial site (instead of keeping it on display).

Fancy burials like these should be different from simple graves though. Most importantly, after digging the ground, placing the mummy, and covering it back, the tomb should disappear and then reappear in a random underground location.

That would be not only to prevent the exploit of getting the gems and items back, but also to populate the world with tiny tombs that could be found out and raided while mining. Exploring the underground looking for tombs to raid could be a thing on late worlds.

Not much input here, but I do like the forced distrubution of items so they are populated with user generated stuff. Don't know how well the map will do with random spawning a tomb anywhere because of how the map loads.
