Everglowing Ember stockpile

Instead of becoming a regular coal stockpile turn it into a source of dim light, fire and aesthetic use.

To be fair, coal piles should need to be sorted every now and then, because irl they do spontaneously combust if not regularly moved around.

Really? I didn't know that. Why? Or rather, how?

I knew a couple of these... couple I didn't... (pistachios, really?!?!?!). I had never looked into it before, but I had always assumed the coal problem was due to the sulfur content and the reaction with water and air causing it to heat... but yeah, this is why coal mines like to catch fire so easily. It doesn't take much to ignite coal particles in the air when the rock itself is already reacting and heating to water and oxygen in the air.

Tedium... It's good in some places in games, but it has to be balanced with some reward for implementing such a mechanic (and "prevention of the loss of material" isn't reward enough.) Add in we have enough other tedium that needs to be removed, and I say a big "no."
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Well, I had meant, if they allowed stockpiling of ever-glowing embers. Also, a potential bonus for coal moving, could be finding an ever-glowing ember where previously there wasn't one.
