Fort Control Battles

End game content other than stat grind.

Scattered around the map would be these fortresses that you could be captured on a weekend day.
-Main door can be bashed with hammer.
-To win you must KO defenders or bash some kind of a structure in the middle of fort within time limit.
-Defenders can shoot from walls

Reward system:
-Holding the fort would generate you a wagon full of random resources for the next weekend.
-On the next weekend during siege time you may transport wagon out of the fort.
-You cannot open/bash wagon until you reach a set destination spot traveling with it.
-You can keep wagon in fort for another week to generate 2nd wagon.
-If you lose fort winners get to transport wagon next weekend.

These fights would have to happen simultaneously across map so more people can participate.

Could be a fun 'capture the flag' minigame.

Downside: if the rewards (loot in the wagon) would be worth it, it would be faction only and the leading faction would just be constantly receiving additional buffs through this - so they would lead even more.

Not a bad idea, take my +1.
To counter grangers foreseen issue, I would say different sized forts should exist with varying difficulty to defend/take and have varying rewards based on those sizes.

They would need to be at all the forts. Idea is to have more than one around so people have a fair shot at the prize.

It could be interesting if there were enough of them... and maybe there would be a building/claim barrier within a certain number of tiles of the forts. Maybe only siege equipment can be built outside of it.
