Wild bee/wasp hive

Postby KitsuneG » Tue Nov 07, 2017 12:29 pm

We have an anthills, for more variety there should be a wild beehives, pretty easy to fight, same mechanic, armor penetration, aggroes all at once, respawn and stuff.
Not sure about actual honey coz of liquid mechanic, but maybe we can get some honeycombs as new food.
And bee eggs/hatching, queen, Empress, Dogbee.
Wax - very rare.

If it will be wasps then no honey and queen, and it should aggro everyone near nest.

Also wound should be one as from ants, and if it reach some amount(50 or more) it becomes something more terrible with int dmg.

For more pain in the ass all of us, for build beehive u need a queen. This will destroy insane quality a lil, and slow down beefarms.

i like it, beehives could hang from trees. I do also like the idea of having them like chickens or something, where you put them in there hive and they increase the qa of the crops around them, and increase their own qa as they create better honey to eat. it'd slow down farming qa quite a bit, but i dont think itd matter too much.

The bee part
This idea is already in the pipe dream. It has been for along time. problem is how the bee interact the object control or something (a lot of us just call it object to object control).

In any case bee breeding will be a thing down the road.
This idea is so old that it comes from world 2.
When J&L figure out the coding they will be added, along with bridges xD

The only part of minecraft I've ever enjoyed was the tekkit bee breeding mod. Doesn't fit with haven at all, but the concept gives me fuzzies. Ok maybe not the lava ones, but possibly different honey for cooking recipes?

Tbh they should work exactly the same as anthills. A beehive on a stick in the ground would randomly spawn, and when raided you would get wild honey and sometimes queen bee larva, which you then build into a beehive. No beeswax, or else we'd have day one mine holes

I find that to be the easiest solution, but if we want to go gung-ho and add seven different bee types and all this crazy jazz, that sounds fun too.

I agree with this so much.

Maybe make it so that you can't generate a larva from a built beehive (unless maybe there is some other method of getting one out). Would help to increase the time it takes to start spiraling your carrots and beets.

It's a long standing ambition to eventually have wild bees in some capacity. Some good ideas here!

And several stings, as with crabs.
and sometimes queen bee larva,
If, at all, a queen - as a larva would need worker bees to feed it so it can mature.
which you then build into a beehive.
Yep, sounds good and easy to implement.
No beeswax, or else we'd have day one mine holes
No big difference to candleberries (which are easy to bot, unless swamps get more dangerous), so it could yield something similar. Or one could need a skill (or a completed credo, depending on farming ;)) to be able to harvest them at all.

Or a skill check so that alts have little to no chance of obtaining wax/queen (but a good chance to be stung).

But for obtaining a hive to be putable into a new beeskep it would be more realistic if, on random chance, a wild hive would swarm and give you the chance to catch it (with the swarm being quite unhappy with you, unless you have the right equipment to handle them).
