Lore friendly skin colors in character generation room.

Hearthlings are implied to be made of clay.

We have six kinds of clay.

Have stockpiles of different clays next to the hairstyle pond.

Who doesn't want green (cave clay) hearthlings?

To consider.

Lol, personally I would be blue ..... after the Magellans ... an ancient, technologically advanced species originally from the Large Magellanic Cloud. They have cat-like eyes, purple hair and blue skin, but are otherwise nearly identical to humans. Magellans as a group have a reputation for kindness and peaceful behaviour. :)

How about let us mold our ugly clay face to something not only a mother could love.

Fixed that for you, at least for the make characters.

While a customization of the body itself would be great, the systems that can do that (while being able to compress the customization into a handful of bytes to make it compatible with an online game) are not that trivial. Well, possibly the client render rewrite (or the one thereafter) could bring that.

Simple stuff like scaling the character in total (even only the vertical axis) shouldn't be that big of a problem as one could process the whole group that makes up the character.

I like the clay idea, possibly we should be able to use pick three pieces for each of hair, skin and eye color.
A simple color picket might be easier though...
