Soup!

Postby KitsuneG » Thu Nov 23, 2017 11:18 am

There so many dishes in the game, but totally lack of soups

I think there should be at least this:
1. Soljanka - called Russian soup - but I guess there is billion names in a world.
Generally classic any meat base, olive, pickles(cucumber in-game) and salad greens.

should be serious variety bonus.
2. Chicken soup with noodles - what is more common than these?
Chicken Meat, Wheat/barley flour, any onion, carrot.

guess maybe like a bonus, it will cure shooting cold by +1 at 10q, when eaten ;)
3. Uha - basic fish soup, actually the most popular for wilderness survival irl.
Any fish, tuber or even just a spindly taproot, salad greens, mushroom and water is all u need to make this.

Well I totally adore soups, esp home made from natural ingredients, butternut squash variations are one of my favourite along with wild mushroom, so I'm saying ... yes! :D

Been suggested many times. And Im pretty sure that devs really got something against soup because they still have not implented it!

My guess would be the devs don't want to implement soups as a single item or dish to just consume, as that wouldn't do them honor of being a liquid. It's also, I again assume, hard to implement a fluid that when eaten/drunk gives reps, and can be eaten in 1/20L intervals like any other drink.

would be nice to have another category that is filled with a variety of soups. Tho, does the bowl magically appear when you craft the soup, or will they force us to use a wooden block or something with the recipe? or maybe youd have to use a metal nugget and make a sort of pot and boil the soup over a pit, or use a roasting spit to hang the pot over the fire, also a neat idea.

It would also need a bowl, pottery item. Will be returned on eating the soup as 'dirty dish' that can be cleaned with water and soap.

I don't think soap is OK for the dishes but in all other regards this is the best suggestion I have ever read so far!
Wastelands. Ruins everywhere from proud civilizations, with today's survivors scavenging whatever they can carry even if they can't even use it. Eating rats cooked alive is OK for everyone. Walking around naked is natural, since very few have time to waste in getting a rag to cover their deep wounds. And the game is only Alpha.
