Similar physics to the ball's, but maybe reactive only to characters wielding sticks.

You could then implement different sticks for different physics reactions and strategic gameplay, like a heavy stick for faster returns, a padded stick to slow the puck down, a sideways stick to send it in an angle, wide stick for larger hitbox etc.

Yes I can see you are a person of good taste. The rink must in all cases be paved with marble though.
And it has the plus side of also being a medieval viking sport.

I'd like frozen water before of that ... then playing that in the winter on lakes or rivers would be awesome :D

I agree, lets wait until seasons before we move to "winter" sports.
