Critter keeping

An aquarium or somewhere to fashionably store our little critters (itsy bitsy, stag beetle, ect. for that ~aesthetic~ bonus. Maybe bird cage as well?

+1 I do like this option, and the term is terrarium. ;) I also want duck ponds for breeding ducks, especially if we can put barkboats on them and they won't despawn. :D
jorb: I don't want *your* money. You are rude and boring. Go away.
Sevenless: We already know real life has some pretty shitty game mechanics, it's why we're here instead.
Avu: The end is near it has finally come to pass: I agree with Lunarius...
Shubla: There are also other reasons to play this game than to maximize your stat gain.

Terariums would be neat, but would it be a breeding pen or just another container to hold the bugs?

also, duck ponds would be unrealistic IMO due to the fact that ducks can fly, and could not be reliably kept in said pens. only real option would be to allow them to be placed in a chicken coop, but given that they are natural fliers and chickens are not, i'd imagine their quality would suffer, or at least get capped to about half the food quality, logisticaly speaking.

Personally I was thinking of just a simple display tank of glass which yes the word I was looking for was terrarium but perhaps even keep fish in it? Put a couple stag beetles in and they'd just have some cute idle anim, or even hopped up cone cows. Lots and lots could be done with this like breeding or whatnot. With the core idea being a piece of furniture that can serve as a nifty looking home for any of the now many little critters about. Maybe Id keep the highest q stag beetle I've ever found in one or whatnot.

it should be a glass container, which looks like a terrarium on the stand. When open should have a few slots: 3*3 for critters (so would fit several 1x1 or only a few larger animals like a squirrel), there are should be some slots for greens (some foragables plants like chives or snapdragon), some slots for decorations (like shells or sandcastle, pretty much any curios) and a WATER LEVEL BAR. So, when filled with water it could be an aquarium. In that mode it only could have kelp as greens and fishes. And of course, when you look at it in the room, it should show the critters in it according to the species (like on the trading stand kinda) and critters should move around
