Family Heirloom:
Upon receiving a killing blow your worn family heirloom gets destroyed and you are knocked out with 1hhp left.

As in 'able to TP to HF', or simply staying on the ground to be killed soon after?

Given this suggestion the heirloom should be extremely expensive to make in terms of materials, XP, and LP. This mechanic would add essentialy an extra life for the player and as such should come with a steep cost to make, especialy seeing as we already have a mechanic in game to assist in preventing deaths to begin with.

what if it just increased the amount of xp and lp given back if you found your heirloom and consumed it after death. Would kind of make sense that its an heirloom then.

I'm quite confident that you would never ever find it then, should your demise have been caused by another player.

Maybe instead we could place it on the grave of the ancestor to get a higher % of xp back.

What I like in the idea is that it would make play with stuff that I normally don't work with (trolls).
If the worst case price of things going south (with a high probability) would be to heal up some days instead of having to do the whole dance... it could be fun.

Sounds interesting, but I'd want some further limitation or penalty. 2 weeks between another working, slower healing for a time, a new unique debuff, stat debuff and no connection to ancestors. Something along those lines.
