And yes, proper aging for proper whiskey (like cheese but muuuuch longer) with minuscule benefits in the end if compared to freshly distilled C2H2O5. Just for lulz.

I would love this idea!
I was just thinking about this earlier.
Would be another use for high quality lumber (boards). Could put it as a skill. Possibly also a barrel making skill, specifically under or before opening up a distillation skill.

Could make it where, after making the base product, could add a piece of fruit to give it a different flavor and effect?

The longer you age it, the stronger it would get. After like a base time of aging. Say at least 3 game months or something? So essentially a year haha.

Jorb did add https://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/Still back in 2021 but I've formulated the issue with all the existing drinks you can distill:

If drinks are "useful" they can feel "mandatory" and making them will feel like "chore."

Already, drinking optimally to reduce satiations is considered tedious. Few simple QoL fixes have been suggested:

1. Add "gulp" option to quickly drink everything in a vessel (have to be stationary and not in combat I guess)

2. All drinks consider Silver River Goblet as an alternative "preferred vessel." Maybe add other types of goblets with same effect.

Also if Whiskey takes an IRL month to make and it is any good, there is a potential situation of "You didn't distill whiskey ASAP on a fresh world and stash it? Fall behind you scrub."
