Before getting the first buff of the Hunter credo line, which gives you 20 marksmanship, I was considering raising the skill up a little bit while it was cheap.
I then said, "It wouldn't matter, as that additional stats would be a bonus.... right?"
Turns out, I got scammed.
Any credo that increases your ability score is a scam, and here's why.
The current system counts the additional ability score as if you bought it with LP rather than as a base increase or even a bonus increase.
This system would mean that all players, some with hundreds of marksman or (insert ability here) and others with little to none get scammed out of LP prices that end up way more expensive before they got that buff, when they could have got the same increase MUCH cheaper.
This is especially hard hitting on freshies, as they struggle to get curiosities and the boat tactic being the only "safe" way of getting larger game, get scammed with a 12 times increase[/b] with prices for that skill (200 to level it up to 2, 2200 to level it up to 22)
Turns out, this is how its supposed to be, in that case:
Proposed change: Make it so that credos that give you ability score increases DO NOT increase prices of gaining abilities through LP
Make it so that on the credo wording is more clear on what the buff is (I thought it was just a normal bonus)
