Yeah, in nice cartons. This is a bit much even for me, but give me a year or two.

Can't we just have a cute little wicker basket lined with cloth instead? It's been suggested many times, can hold in one hand to collect then place in a cupboard, takes two spaces. :)

Pls ... :D

Could use the Jule Gift mechanic (own inventory but with limited list of stuff that could go in there), can't go into player inventory while containing stuff (and can't accept items while in there, basically like buckets).

2 slots when in a container sounds to be a bit on the low side, bucket dimension seems more reasonable.

Variations like with the belts (that determine the capacity) would keep the mechanic interesting later in the world when inventory expanders are available. Higher qualities could, apart from increased capacity, also widen the list of items it can store (ants might fall through the basic wicker one while the silken deluxe version might hold them).

Capacity should be big enough for it have a use, should be higher than what a tsack generates (as it's offset by being an own inventory grid and limited selection of what can be stored).

Basket would be nice. You could put lots of stuff in it, like berries and other forageables.

In theory, I like the idea of specialized container items for specific types of items, especially for equipping in the hands for foraging purposes. However, I'm less hyped about the natural consequences thereof, namely having to fill my inventory with baskets every time I go out foraging. Also not sure what I think about having cupboards full of baskets, rather than full of the actual items.

Like the bucket with inventory, cannot go in containers once full?

Given the container would be big enough (to be feasible) and can't be held inside player inventory while being not empty (like buckets) I can't see your problem.

I understand what you are saying but personally I would rather see cupboards full of baskets if it means more space, we have cupboards full of buckets ... at least baskets would be more pleasing on the eye ... :)

And if they were not able to go in inventory when full, then you only have to take two baskets .. ;p ... you can still fill inventory with berries etc if you prefer it and your cupboards. I'd probably have a combination of both, saves some space but you still have the relevant items to see what's what. We could then have a neat little stackable stockpile of empty baskets too ... :D
