More Variable Wood Options On Existing Structures

Postby Vigilance » Wed Jan 17, 2018 5:02 am

We have a lot of wooden structures that can be constructed in the game currently that do not take variable wood textures in to account. I would very greatly appreciate having more free reign over the aesthetics of my crafting zones and otherwise. Some objects that I propose should have variable appearance based on their inputs would include the:

    wooden palisade
    the cupboard
    the butter churn,
    the herbalist table

    the tanning tub
    perhaps even the drying frame,
and most importantly the bee skep.

Some of you may be thinking, "Wow, what a groundbreaking idea he's proposing! We can finally have color coded cupboards!" to which I reply, precisely.

Thank you for your time.

I really do agree that the concept of a poplar palisade would look really nice.

Add brick to this, too. Smelters, walls, etc. etc.

On the todo list, but we're awaiting some graphics optimizations first. Don't want to go too full retard before we know we can handle it.

When it comes to walls... whatever it's made of... would the colors be per section of wall, or would be all be one color? Can see someone, somewhere making striped walls if per section.

Since the recent updates have been heavily updating things to have variable materials and changing things to look slightly better, hoping that these will get some love too soon. :)
