Stealing from Salem again - Movements

One feature I really liked in Salem was the different types of passive movement buffs you could apply depending on what you were doing. I feel that this was a very good mechanic that could definitely find a place in Haven, unlocking new ones depending on skill and credo unlocks. For example, wandering a massive distance on foot drains a lot of stamina, and you are perhaps not as interested in gathering forage along the way, so you could have a type of wandering which limited stamina drain at the cost of a negative to your perception/exploration stats as long as it is active. Conversely, having a "foraging" wandering stance which applied an effective exploration/perception buff, at the cost of being limited to walking speed at maximum, could also be great, and I feel like there are many ways that this could be expanded.

Sounds cool, could lead to bad dynamics in combat scenarios, but still sounds cool. I want a 'This Is My Swamp' credo for normal movement in swamps.

pls don't make it combine with the current movement system, it'd just make it really complicated to use.

I do think this is the main argument against it. There are already quite a bit of movement/speed complexity in Haven, and I'm not sure adding to it is worth the benefits. Not to say I'm strictly against it, though, but I think the benefits have to be fairly significant to be worth the extra complexity.

I think having an array of toggleable 'strides' with significant buffs and debuffs depending on which you choose would make it appear separate enough that it wouldn't overcomplicate, whilst still providing ample reason to be present in the game.

Could consider something like this. Didn't hate the mechanic in Salem.
