Pickling a new end game food

Postby Kiara » Mon Jan 29, 2018 9:09 am

Jorb said something about this in his lasts stream and it inspired me to make a post about the idea. pickling could be a new endgame good tier, you could have pickling jars and pickling shelves just like we have cheese trays and cheese racks now. you could make it cost a lot of vinegar and maybe have to boil the jars in a cauldron or a new big pot or something. there could be a ton of possibilities for recipes from pickled carrots, beats, pickles to pickled pigs feet or salmon all kinds of things like this. i assume you would have to age them on shelves or in cupboards just like you do cheese now.

if you guys have any thoughts or ideas for pickled food just post them below so jorb sees them if he reads this, im sure he has allot of ideas on how he wants this implemented himself though.

Pickling should require salt but give like +4 to a stat

I'd like to see pickled foods as something to reliably decrease satiations with.
Then you'll be able to reset all food groups without wasting a ton of food.

Eggs, beets, any vegetable, fish... meat, I assume?

Pickled stuff would make sense in case normal stuff would turn rotten with time (like sizzling->cooled, just with a reasonably long timeframe) for conservation purposes.

More and better endgame food? Meh.

I actually agree. While new balanced food and variety are no doubt nice, but so called "end food" is not really necessary. Some players with the current food made 10k stats already so new end food would make the difference between top players and casual players even higher.
I would rather make it harder to grind then easier with the new good food.

i think the suggestion is to make something parallel to cheese, not better. Variety will help make this game. Thats why we have hats, people like to be different.

Its not as much about making more op food, its about having more variety in endgame food.
