disclaimer: i know DAMN WELL that this is a longshot, and jorb is gonna say no as soon as he sees the topic. but i figured, whats the harm in posting the topic? worst that will happen is people will mock me for it.

anyways, growing agave (which is normally native to arid places like mexico hence why jorb wouldnt want it in haven) and harvesting its nectar to be used as a substitute for honey in most recipes. (obviously NOT honey buns) it would give different FEPS obviously. it could be grown like a bush, or in a pot.

i dont mind the disagreement but can you elaborate on why its a bad idea? what can be done to improve it? if its terrible at its core can you point out why? because i dont see it.

besides being a weird plant native to hot, arid deserts:

its function as a honey substitute, depending on its implementation, would basically render honey worthless.
if the agave grows in quality faster than you can raise hive quality > honey useless.
if it can be mass produced and made faster than regular honey > honey useless


IF however this item functioned on its own, not as a substitute for honey, that'd be cool. we could make tequila
