Why not add a Mammoth Jacket, Mammoth Pants, maybe a Mammoth Tabard, or some kind of heavy armor that require the mammoth tusks and hides, a new furniture.
Not exactly all that i mentioned, but something for the "uncommon animal"

On a side note, here's an interesting read about post Ice Age man in North America:
Where the Ice Age Caribou Ranged.
There's something about Stone Age man that I find absolutely enthralling. I can only imagine what they had to do for survival. And even then they discovered things like copper smelting, the first domestication and a myriad of other skills that set the foundation for modern civilization.

And here I am, bitching about having to drive 2miles to the nearest Taco Bell and pay $3 USD for a burrito, chips and a sugary soda that would probably double their caloric intake for the day!

I think winter should be brutal and we shouldn't be able to grow many crops in the winter. however we should get harvests in the summer that are WAY bigger and much easier to stockpile, refine and store for later use.
