As Haven is supposed to be somewhat medieval in tech, I suggest we have straw-stuffed mattresses or spruce ones.

Maybe the ability to "upgrade" beds by changing mattresses, provided it's on a new type of furniture like a wooden or metal bedframe.

The bed would do whatever the regular bed does.

Variety wouldn't be bad. Add lower tier bed with thatching meterial, straw/bough to go with for various aesthetic valours. Ballance it by being less effective than sturdy bed. Perhaps add a new, higher tier of bed made of metal with silk cloth? 0.25 effectiveness for low tier bed, 0.5 for sturdy and 1.0 for high-end bed.
