Devs mentioned the idea of making the new buildings in a separate program/place as a drawing, then using it in-game to build the building. Here is the idea how it could be realized:
-The constructor is accessible via the forum, like the sketches. You can use the construction drawing only if you have done certain credos/quests. Maybe add a new skill, called architecture + make the material costs depend on the masonry level.
-Divide the building into types. This is done in order to be able to differ soak, the elements that could be placed (like windmill engines, ovens and etc.).
Each building will have different views. People should model in the plan view. Outline the walls, floors, windows, doors locations and etc. In the textures menu, you can then assign what materials should some elements have and how they should display. The constructor calculates the costs and etc. The building should follow the same logic as in my previous post. You cannot overhang something if there is no support underneath. You cannot drop in certain materials, like have the full metal first floor on top of the straw net and etc. When clicking on a building element, you can choose a style for it as well.
