Geodes

When chipping boulders, mining, or digging in any environment, give us the chance to unearth a geode. They scale in size like gems. Can be cut at a gemcutter's wheel only once for two geode halves. Together the halves give more lp. But there's a chance of destroying the geode too. They can also be broken open with a pickaxe but that has a higher chance of destruction and the halves give only a little bit more lp than the original.

I'm all for new cool stuff (maybe have it a little more in depth than that, though), but mining has no need for anything else being added to it unless the other professions become at least on par with how strong/developed mining and the underground in general is at the moment.

Wouldn't mind at all!

What if you could dig up geodes while mining, the same way as seashells or crystals, and you could break them open to get geode halves (curio) with the potential to get randomized (somewhat based on depth) gems from within

Make it like a super fun mix bag

make it so you mine up a "peculiar rock" that you smash on the anvil with a hammer and it can become a geode (curio and maybe it's own type of gem), a fossil (could be various types, all cool curios), or just a regular ass rock or gem or something
