Stackable Parchment

Postby Morrighan » Sat Mar 03, 2018 11:19 pm

Dear developers, please consider my humble plea! I think being able to stack blank parchment would be seriously convenient and practical! Instead of filling cupboards with single sheets, we could have a "drawer" in our study desks to keep spare parchment in! A "Bookcase" would be a beautiful storage solution to keep written documents! Would love to see this in a future update. Is that possible?

:)

how would a bookcase differ from a cupboard?
Newbie and noob do not mean the same thing.

Neither do figuratively and literally.

I dobt that many people use parchments. But devs sure like to add lots of silly stuff that no one needs, so maybe it will be added.

Its for a sure good idea, somekind of shelf for parchaments, but maybe not that important one to implement.

Instead of stacking parchment, maybe books?

This could certainly pave the way for making books, as they are pages stacked and bound together! As far as using cupboards instead: To put it in perspective... what's the difference between a cupboard and a wine rack in this game? Both can hold bottles but one is more specific and aesthetically pleasing. Considering that most players drink wine from skins or buckets, not bottles, the rack appears frivolous for storage, but some really like it. A bookcase, for those who would use it, would make better use of storage for written parchments. I'm also sure I am not the only one interested in making a study in one of my tower rooms filled with book cases and possibly a bear skin rug or two! I use parchments frequently.

Will consider.

EDIT: Decided against this. Too marginal, and don't want to change an established use case for that kind of benefit. May consider if/when we do books, or otherwise touch this.
