Pet Rats (or snakes)

Has anyone else thought about being able to tame rats? Maybe make a small cage/aquarium to keep in your house.
Perhaps keeping a pet (rat, snake, fish, frog) could give a small amount of LP per day based on quality. You could get it good food or bedding to improve quality/keep it alive.
If studying an ant farm works then why not a rat cage?

Along with this idea, I think maybe an idea about being able to make a pond would be nice!

Dig out a large enough area, fill it with water, add the fish you'd like to farm... and bam! Nice, high quality, home-grown fish.

It could also go hand in hand with farming bugs. You'd need to feed your rats properly, so maybe adding a tank for bug growth would be the next step, seeing as rats don't exactly thrive off of wheat or barley (they'd quickly die in any real-life setting that way).

And if you farm rats, you can feed them to a snake tank!

It's all a nice little circle. :)

Agree that they should be possible to farm for starters.

Any more development on this? Rat on a stick buffs could change the game.
