Allow Village LS to control roads

Postby CaddoPuma » Tue Mar 13, 2018 3:11 am

Is it possible to have a "Road builder's" permission that Lawspeakers can assing to certain villagers? By default, all villagers except the LS would have their permission set to "denied" so that no one except the LS can build a road inside the village claim. Then if the LS wants to let a certain person build roads, he can set that person's permission to "Granted". Or using the current color system, the LS can set a certain color to "Roadbuilding Granted" and only people with that color will be able to build roads on the village claim.

Even though I've had no feedback on this thread, I have had some feedback on Discord and I'd like to discuss a key point here:

You can already do that with cairns and vandalism

Yes, but if vandalism is turned on, every guy who can chop a tree, plow a field, or build a crate in a given area can build a roadsign/milestone in that area. And anyone who can't build a roadsign/milestone in a given area can't chop a tree, plow a field, or build a crate in that area. Separating roads from all other vandalism would allow someone to perform basic, everyday tasks without any potential for screwing up the village transportation system.

Idk, bruv. Not thrilled about multiplying permissions like crazy. Will consider.
