I generally despise objects that do that. It's such an ugly, ad-hoc solution. I'd prefer to not add it to things that don't strictly require it.

Unbashable bridges would strictly require it and bashable bridges are terrible and not worth the constant replacements so...?

I know this may sound like a silly solution, but what if docks did not have a hitbox - and have it unbashable by hand?

Then you could use docks as an extension of your real walls.
And I dont think that it would be a good idea, they are not meant to be walls after all.
