There were plenty of crops suggested. I know the point about new world crops.
So I do some investigations and found few might be interesting and were not suggested before.
1. Mint/peppermint
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peppermint
Well it should be in-game for sure.
Another source of salad greens - might be charisma variations.
Of course some special recipes or even new type of tea, that buffs currently intact satiations.
Also extremely good for honeyproduction.
2. Lentil
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lentil
Its not common in ancient Europe, but its pretty usual from middle ages to present days.
Could be a new source of flour.
3. Saffron
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saffron
Mostly Asian flower, but same as tobacco in 1550, saffron was extremely popular and people cultivated it everywhere in the world.
My opinion it should be another source of food buff, maybe even same as pepper - just divide: cheeses no longer can be peppered(actually who the fk in the world do that?) but could use saffron, and baked goods can't be saffroned.
4.Panicum
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proso_millet
The father or mother of barley and wheat, but tastes like shit. Gives more straw, and a little seeds(compare to wheat).
The most ancient known source of flour. It definitely should be will variations as flour used.
