Woodsman's axe as payment type on barter stands?

I can't select a woodsman's axe as a payment type on a barter stand. Is there some reason why not? Maybe this could be changed?

Oh. Can you only ask for things you've discovered?

It does not work with tools at all.

Not sure why, but would be nice to be able to buy a good tool with your own shop

I think it's that you can't ask for things you haven't discovered? Maybe? I can ask to buy a metal axe (I've made one before), but I can't ask for a woodsman's axe. Similarly (maybe?) I can ask for sandstone but not cinnabar.

Correct. This has been asked to be changed before. You might be able to get someone in a market to teach it to you.

Some of the tools and gear don't have a discovery associated with them the first time they're crafted. Needs to be fixed IMO.

I can select it just fine. Not sure what your problem is. Lacking discovery?

Lacking discovery, yes, I have since crafted a woodsman's axe and can now select it.

Not 100% on how that should work, but it kind of makes sense that you can't ask for it if you don't really know what it is.
